Manchester Caribbean Carnival

The Caribbean Carnival is famous in the city for its colourful, and flamboyant style with its celebrations centred around Alexandra Park in Whalley Range.

The exciting and energetic parade dancing through the streets of Manchester is the highpoint of the weekend with thousands of people turning out to watch the floats, performers, musicians and characters weave their way to the city centre and back to the park.

This year's carnival will take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August.
