ALL FM Cross-Generational Community Project

10/03/2010

ALL FM 96.9 is one of many organisations in the UK now involved in a new community-based project aimed at encouraging cross-generational interaction in the communities of south and east Manchester.

The programme is run by volunteers and those who choose to get involved will be learning how to make a radio programme together and it is hoped that in interacting with each other, both younger and older community members will gain a greater understanding of the challenges and issues that the other face in their lives.

The group is open to anyone either under the age of 25 or over the age of 50.

Taster sessions of this group will be held throughout the spring with the first of them taking place on Thursday 18 March between 18.00 and 20.00.

For more information please contact Dave Murat, the stations radio trainer, on 0161 248 6888 or dave@allfm.org
