Planting on Trimdon Estate!!

09/12/2005

Karen Grisdale led a team of Community Guardians, residents and Councillors of the Trimdon Close Estate in a bulb planting weekend.

On the Saturday they planted bulbs on the estate and Karen commented how everyone put in 100% and it was a great success.
The Sunday event was with Diane Vickers a Community Guardian ,Councillors, Neighbourhood Wardens & the kids club.

Diane has formed a group with the children called ROOTS OF THE FUTURE CLUB which she provides a whole range of activities throughout the year.
On Sunday all the kids put a wish in a time capsule & it was planted in the wishing Well, then they all planted Bulbs in and around the well a variety of Blue Bells & other mixed types of bulbs.

With the rest of the bulbs, they planted around the Community Garden even when the heavens opened up they all carried on planting, every one getting stuck in.

A big thank you to everyone who got involved and well done!
